An RAF jet has crashed shortly after take-off near a military base in Wales, leaving two pilots injured, the MoD has confirmed.
Two pilots ejected from the Hawk T2 training jet before the plane went down.
A Royal Air Force spokesman said: “An incident involving an RAF T2 Hawk aircraft, flying out of RAF Valley, occurred near Anglesey.
“An investigation is underway and we will not comment further at this time.”
GB News understands both ejected pilots were located shortly after the incident and sustained only minor injuries.
Emergency services are on the scene and supporting those involved.
North Wales Police said: “Two pilots are being treated for what are thought to be minor injuries and at this stage there are no reports of any wider damage or injuries.”
Spotter groups on social media reported hearing a “massive bang” then saw “two parachutes opening”.

At least two Wales Air ambulances have been deployed to the scene.
Confirming their attendance at the scene, a spokesman for North Wales Police said: “Local officers are currently in attendance to reports of an incident involving an aircraft in the Pencarnisiog area of Anglesey, alongside colleagues from North Wales Fire and Rescue Services, Welsh Ambulance Service University Health Trust and Helimed.
“Please avoid the area until further notice. Updates will be issued when appropriate.”The crash took place near RAF Valley on the island of Anglesey in Wales.
RAF Valley is home to the RAF’s Hawk T2 advanced fast-jet training operation, where pilots are trained to use the Typhoon and F-35.

“My thoughts are with the crew, their families and everyone at the base.
“I want to thank North Wales Police, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the Welsh Ambulance Service, the air ambulance crews and the coastguard, who were at the scene within minutes.
“Their professionalism in moments like this is something we should never take for granted.
“I grew up in Bodorgan, just along the coast from Valley. RAF Valley is part of the fabric of Anglesey.
“It has trained generations of fast-jet pilots, and our island is proud to be home to the men and women who serve there.
“I will be in touch with the station and the relevant authorities, and I will keep constituents updated.”
