Prince Harry has been hailed as “down-to-Earth” and “kind-souled” by a former Britain’s Got Talent winner.
Sydnie Christmas, the 31-year-old singer who triumphed on the iconic talent show in 2024, has spoken about her remarkable experiences meeting the duke on two occasions in quick succession.
The musician, who has built a devoted following since her ITV victory, told the Mirror she had been “lucky to meet Harry twice in the past month”.
Her encounters with the Duke of Sussex took place at a David Foster Foundation celebration in Canada and subsequently at the Invictus Games Spirit Awards, where Harry sat in the front row for her performance.
Meeting royalty has become something of a regular occurrence for Christmas, who also performed in front of King Charles shortly after her BGT win.
Queen Camilla had been due to attend that event but pulled out owing to a chest infection.
At the David Foster Foundation event, which marked the charity’s 40th anniversary, Ms Christmas had her first encounter with the Duke of Sussex.

She was struck by his warmth and approachability, describing him as “just such a down-to-earth, kind-souled person.”
“What a pleasure, what an absolute pleasure,” she added.
The singer admitted to the newspaper: “I didn’t know what to expect. I don’t really know too much, but what a nice person.
“He said such lovely things about me singing.”

During the Spirit Awards, Ms Christmas found herself gazing out at Harry seated directly before her, as she joked: “He was in the front row, I was like ‘Look up!’”
The evening left a profound impression on the singer, who called it “one of the most emotional, inspirational things I’ve ever been to.”
She added: “Looking around and seeing lost limbs is one thing, but then they stand up, and they tell their story, how they’ve been able to come out the end of it and use the Invictus Games.
“The support that you felt in the room, it was electric. What a fantastic foundation.”
The Invictus Games, founded by Harry, provide a competitive sporting platform for military personnel and veterans who have suffered wounds, illness or injury.
The next edition of the multi-sport event is scheduled to take place at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.
