In today’s GB News Daily Reflection, we remember that sometimes, the people telling us the good news, telling us helpful things are unbelievable to look at or in their position in life
“In my life, there’s people I trust and believe. They seem to know a lot about a lot. There’s also other people I don’t believe. They seem to know a little about everything.
“In the Bible, we read about the types of people that are telling the stories of faith, and in Matthew 21 it says this.
“John the Baptist, he came to you preaching the way of righteousness, but you didn’t believe him. John was a wild man. He lived outside like this in nature.
“He probably had crazy hair. People didn’t believe John because he wasn’t what they were expecting. But then the tax collectors, HMRC, perhaps they believed John. And even after you saw it, it says you didn’t change your minds and believe.
“That’s a challenge for me. The challenge is who can I trust? And am I sure that the people I’m believing are the people with all the answers?
“I wonder today who might be speaking truth into my life that just because of what they look like or because of their background, I can’t hear it. I’ve already decided they’re unbelievable. Who are those people? Because perhaps they have a truth that I need to hear.”
