Two injured Spanish soldiers have been evacuated from Ceuta amid brawls with migrants, a senior Vox politician has told GB News.
Carlos Flores, a member of Spain’s Congress of Deputies, said the Spanish Government had “lost control” over part of the country’s territory after more than 80,000 African migrants stormed the small city in July.
Footage of hordes of migrants streaming over border barriers and into the exclave community on the Mediterranean coast stunned the world.
The Spanish army was deployed to the Mediterranean coast of the African mainland to restore order and return thousands across the border to Morocco.
However, thousands have remained in the city, living in squalid tent cities, with local police struggling to maintain control.
Attempts to clear out beach camps resulted in thousands of invaders rampaging through Ceuta’s streets, new video from the city has shown.
Mr Flores told GB News: “The situation has been out of control from the very beginning.
“The government has lost control over a portion of our national territory. We are seeing as we are invaded; we are watching the invasion of our territory on our own TV sets.

“The Government has been unable to reverse the situation throughout the month and a half that has passed since the invasion took place.
“Invaders are fighting against each other for food, for water, for control of the mob. We are receiving news about aggressions against the Spanish police forces and even the army,” he said.
“Only today, two members of the Spanish armed forces had to be evacuated to the peninsula due to the injuries they suffered yesterday.”
Two soldiers remain in hospital in Madrid after allegedly being assaulted by migrants while deployed in Ceuta, Spanish publication Democrata reported.

GETTYBoth are being treated at the Gómez Ulla Central Defence Hospital, and Defence Minister Margarita Robles visited the medical centre on Thursday to check on their condition.
The Defence Ministry has not disclosed the severity of the soldiers’ injuries or confirmed the exact date on which the alleged assaults took place.
Writing on X, the ministry expressed “its full support” for all those injured “while they carry out their work”, adding: “Our soldiers are always professional, close, and involved with Ceuta.”
To that end, the Vox politician questioned whether the Spanish Government was unable to resolve the situation or was unwilling to do so.

“To begin with, the Government is not acknowledging what is happening in Ceuta,” Mr Flores said.
“They keep on telling us that we are facing a humanitarian problem, that it is just a number, an unusual number of immigrants who cross the border and now need to be fed, to be sheltered and to be transferred to the peninsula or back to Morocco.”
“It is not a humanitarian problem. It’s an aggression.”
“The first thing you need to do is to understand the nature of the challenge you are facing,” Mr Flores insisted, adding that “the Spanish government is blind to that.”
The Vox politician praised protests across Spain, including those by football giants Real Madrid, as evidence of a “political awakening” in the country.
“We are seeing a massive response in these situations in the street by football teams, by all kinds of civil society, saying basically, ‘enough is enough’.
“I definitely think that the days of Pedro Sanchez in the Moncloa Palace are now numbered.”
Mr Flores reiterated that the Ceuta crisis would be “the last straw” for the Spanish people.
He described the current parliamentary term as one of “failure” and “lies”, pointing to previous Government promises which he said had subsequently been broken.
