Bon Accord Soft Drinks was first founded in Arbroath in 1903 by the Robb family,
Although it ceased production in around 2000, in 2016 the brand was revived by Karen Knowles – the great-great-granddaughter of the original founder – to produce drinks with “a modern, health-conscious twist”.
The brand offers soft drinks and mixers that are plant-based, vegan-friendly, caffeine-free and free from artificial sugars or sweeteners, with products available in selected Morrisons and Sainsbury’s stores across Scotland.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Bon Accord has been acquired by Dundee craft brewing company 71 Brewing, in a new partnership which aims to “shake up Scotland’s soft drinks scene”.

Production will take place locally in Dundee, just 16 miles from where Bon Accord first began.
Bon Accord’s Karen Knowles said: “Bringing Bon Accord back to the North East is more than a business move – it’s a homecoming.
